Terms of Service

By accessing or using Ask AI Data Connector (“the Service”), operated by Ask AI Data Connector (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Ask AI Data Connector is a platform that syncs data from e-commerce and marketing tools (including Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and others) and makes that data accessible to AI assistants (including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity) via a secure API.

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update your information as necessary.

When you connect a data source to the Service, you authorise us to access and sync data from that source on a read-only basis. You represent and warrant that:

• You have the authority to grant us access to the data sources you connect
• Your use of the Service complies with the terms of service of each connected data source
• You will not connect data sources containing data you are not authorised to access or share

We provide API keys that allow authorised AI tools to query your synced data. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your API keys secure and not sharing them with unauthorised parties
• Understanding that any party with your API key can access your synced data
• Revoking API keys immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
• Reviewing and accepting the terms and privacy policies of the AI tools you connect

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service outside of the provided API
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent
• Use the Service in a manner that violates the terms of any connected data source

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed at the time of purchase.

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods

We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days’ notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period after the notice period.

You retain all rights to the data you connect to the Service. We do not claim ownership of your data. We access and store your data solely to provide the Service as described.

We may generate aggregated, anonymised statistics about Service usage (such as total number of queries processed) that do not identify you or your business. We may use these statistics to improve the Service.

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We are not responsible for data sync delays, API downtime from third-party data sources, or changes to third-party APIs that affect our ability to sync data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the data returned by the Service will be accurate, complete, or current. Data accuracy depends on the connected third-party sources. AI tools may interpret data differently, and we are not responsible for conclusions drawn by AI tools from your data.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time.

Upon termination, we will delete your account data, synced data, and credentials in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
